Get ya passports ready, y'all. This looks interesting. I will probably apply also.
Are you a music producer, and you want to win a trip to the RedBull Music Academy in Rome, Italy? Keep reading. www.redbullmusicacademy.com/index.php?id=17
You can download the application from the following link, www.redbullmusicacademy.com/index.php?id=17, fill it out, put together a CD of your tracks, production, or mixes, and submit a mugshot of yourself, and send it off to our good friends at the academy.
The sooner you apply the better, as the academy panel listens to and reads every single submission (and I do mean every one), thus you don't want to wait until the last week during the deadline and join the other last minute applicants. The key work element here is "initiative." There is also lots of live video from past academy's featuring past lecturers such as Prince Paul, Derrick Carter, Babu (Dialated Peoples), DJ Craze, Carl Craig, Hugh Masekela, J Majik, and many more. Past academy's have been
held in Berlin, Dublin, London, New York City, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and CapeTown, South Africa. Also, do not miss the global networking opportunities by logging on to the RBMA forum at www.redbullmusicacademy.com/phpBB2/
The Red Bull Music Academy brings together DJs and music producers from diverse musical and cultural backgrounds to exchange their ideas about music and their knowledge of how life in the music industry works. The
two-week term schedules aim to cover all major aspects of DJ culture, including music history, technology and production, business and skills. www.redbullmusicacademy.com
The RedBull Music Academy invites a variety of accomplished international guests - from industry movers and shakers to pirate radio station operators, from turntablists to sonic theorists - to meet RBMA attendees and tell their own stories in their own words. www.redbullmusicacademy.com
Good luck. www.redbullmusicacademy.com/index.php?id=17
