This week VH1 is running a series on hip-hop called "And Ya Don't Stop- 30 Years of Hip-Hop". The five part series covers every era of hip-hop from the very beginning to now...
Now I don't say this about most stuff shown on TV about hip-hop, but everyone who considers themselves to be hip-hop fans should be watching this. I know the story's probly been told before, but this has been an authentic depiction so far, told by the people from the different eras. It's not one of those things that MTV shows where they interview Nelly, Chingy, and Nick Cannon on what hip-hop means to them... this is the real shit.... damn shame a station like BET, the only station to show love to hip-hop before it was big business, couldn't take it upon THEMSELVES to do it, and got beat to the punch by a station that hip-hop didn't even exist to until about four years ago....
It comes on every night this week at 10pm, not counting the replays... and you know there will be a lot of those.
