Flash first rapper to be inducted to 'Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame' has for the first time ever in its history inducted a rap group into its hallowed premises.
According to Eonline, rapper Flash was inducted into the Hall of Fame, bypassing other notable contenders including veteran Irish rockers U2, the O 'Jays, guitarist Buddy Guy, The Pretenders, the Sex Pistols, J. Geils and the late country singer Conway Twitty.
The Bronx based DJ, who helped launch the hip-hop phenomena way back in the 1970's, was a surprise nomination in the category, which is normally meant for rockers.
A musician is inducted into the Hall of Fame only after 25 years of being in the circuit.

Yep! I know all the people who thought this shit was a fad are suckin' their teeth right now. I wonder if O'Reilly will dig some info up on Flash and try to protest this... he bitches about almost everything involving hip-hop and the mainstream, after all. I can see it now- The O'Reilly Factor, a whole hour spent on analyzing every lyric of "White Lines".
"Flash is fast, Flash is cool, Francois... whatever the hell she said after that"
